华裔女青年司唯（唐加思 饰）从美国回家乡福州，背包里带着奶奶的遗物——脱胎漆器梳妆盒。一次意外撞车，司唯与快递小哥林榕生（黄远 饰）被卷入一宗赌场爆炸案中，两人意外拿到了赌场钱箱，司唯的背包被三个傻贼拿走，两段回家路由此展开……。The plot of the film sees a U.S. military veteran — Sergeant Rick Pedroni — return home changed and dangerous after a tour of duty in Afghanistan where he suffered an attack by a mysterious force.
