《启初的起初》是以江西省萍乡市的真实人物“胡启初”为原型进行艺术加工的文艺片。胡启初是萍乡市芦溪县“杜鹃花小屋“的创始人，因患有"先天性心脏病”、“类风湿心脏病”等多种疾病导致瘫痪，全身仅有一只左手能够活动。生活的磨难曾让他几度想自杀，是文学点燃了他对生存的渴望。他与现实的矛盾，与家人的矛盾，最后都归结于他与内心的矛盾。世上只有一种真正的英雄主义，那就是认清生活的真相之后还热爱生活。。本次剧场版为根据之前TV版再剪辑，由富野制作人重新编写台词让对白更方便理解，并追加全新画面（这次新画面不多，主要是修改对白），预计全5部欢迎之前看过/没看懂/没看过的朋友们都来看一下本次的新编辑剧场版，观感真的十分完美。When a group of old college friends, now in their 30s, gather over Christmas at their recently deceased friend's remote mountain cabin to celebrate his life, they see it as an opportunity to come together as the cohesive unit they once were.
